Avalanche Pizza is looking for a Cook to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Determine the size of food portions and costs
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Preparing and cooking pizzas, chicken tenders, and other menu items to standard.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Following recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency and quality.
- Handling food with care and attention, in a calm and respectful manner (“gentle kitchen” approach).
- Ensuring all food is served hot, fresh, and on time – even during high-volume hours.
- Supporting the team by restocking ingredients, cleaning equipment, and closing the kitchen properly.
- Following all health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
- Communicating effectively with teammates and front-of-house staff
- Serving costumers if needed
Job details
- Location – Whistler, BC
- Salary $19 hourly / 32 to 40 hours per week
- Permanent employment, Full time
Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Cooking Experience
1 to less than 7 months
