Job Description
We are looking for a well experienced Sous Chef for “Cheese Boutique” located at 45 Ripley Ave, Toronto, ON M6S 3P2, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and timely service while maintaining Cheese Boutique’s high culinary standards.
- Assist the Head Chef in planning menus, creating seasonal dishes, and developing new recipes that highlight artisanal cheeses and high-quality ingredients.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, providing training on cooking techniques, plating, and maintaining food safety standards. - Manage inventory of ingredients, track stock levels, and order supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation across all menu items served to customers.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to guarantee smooth service, especially during peak hours and special events.
- Maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring tools and appliances are clean, functional, and safe for use.
- Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations, ensuring compliance with local food safety standards.
- Monitor food costs and labor expenses to assist in maintaining budget and profitability targets.
- Develop, test, and refine new dishes in collaboration with the Head Chef to keep the menu innovative and appealing.
- Oversee preparation and execution of catering orders or special events, ensuring high-quality food and presentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to source premium ingredients and specialty cheeses.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary School or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in industry
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $36.00- $38.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay.
