The Home Child Care Provider will be responsible for providing in-home care for children in a private household. Duties include:
- Supervising and caring for infants and children
- Bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children
- Changing diapers and assisting with toilet training
- Preparing bottles and infant formula
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organizing age-appropriate activities such as games and outings
- Instructing children in personal hygiene and social development
- Disciplining children according to parents’ instructions
- Preparing children for rest periods
- Tending to the emotional well-being of children
- Performing light housekeeping duties related to child care
- Cooking and cleaning as required
- Assuming full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
- Travelling with the family on trips, when required, to assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
