Job Description

At Nurse Next Door, 2 Bloor Street W, Suite 700 Toronto Ontario we help seniors stay in their homes for as long as they choose—by caring, connecting, and enabling them to continue doing what they love most. Through our Happier Aging™ philosophy, we deliver personalized home care that goes beyond basic support. We are currently seeking 3 compassionate Home Support Workers to join our team and provide care in private residences across the GTA.

Your key responsibilities will be to deliver exceptional care through

·        Providing personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support

·        Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding when needed

·        Performing light housekeeping: laundry, dishes, tidying, and sanitizing surfaces

·        Running errandsand assisting with grocery shopping or medication pickups

·        Offering companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation

·        Accompanying clients to appointments, walks, or social outings

·        Documenting daily activities and communicating with care coordinators

·        Following safety protocols by using equipment properly

Wage: $22 per hour for 40 hours per week.

Overtime paid at 1.5 the wage after 44 hours/week

Education & Experience

  • Completion of secondary required
  • Training in home support, elderly care, convalescent care, or disability care is an asset
  • 1-2 years of caregiving or home support experience

Terms of Employment

·        Permanent, full-time positions

·        Flexible scheduling: early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnight shifts available

Requirements

·        Two positive professional references

·        Criminal Record Check

·        Valid driver’s license

·        Negative TB test (updated every 5 years)

·        Ability to travel independently to clients’ homes

·        Strong communication skills—both written and verbal

·        Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
