Job Description
Minimax Express is a family owned trucking company that has been in business for over 35 years. Our 300 team members are proud to work for Minimax, many have been with us for 10-15 years.
This is a full time day job (Mon to Fri) 07:00 – 17:00 with 1 hour unpaid lunch.
Compensation is based upon experience, LTL trucking background preferred.
As the first point of contact for customers, the Customer Service Representative plays a key role ensuring customers receive a pleasant experience with Minimax.
*Duties and Responsibilities*
Under the supervision of the Terminal manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Investigates and resolves shipment issues listed in the Over Short & Damaged (OS&D) report;
· Tracks and traces shipments by responding to customer inquiries via email or phone, using resources such as dispatch, drivers and downline terminals;
· Provides drivers with missing or necessary information to ensure successful freight delivery;
· Assists with daily dock checks, reviews distressed freights, addresses any issues and updates the transportation management software to ensure accurate up-to-date records;
· Answers general shipping-related questions from customers and potential customers.

*Minimum Requirements *
· High School Diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education is an asset;
· Minimum Two (2) years of experience in a customer service role, LTL trucking;
· Customer-focused approach, with exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills to provide a professional, positive experience;
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement, troubleshoot as necessary and provide recommendations to management on how to resolve reoccurring issues; and
· Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Experience with Excel spreadsheets
Ability to drive a fork lift would be an asset
