Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work setting: Bake shop, Large volume bakery
Responsibilities
Tasks
· Prepare dough for bread, rolls and sweet goods, cookies and icings and frostings according to recipes or occasional special customer orders.
· Mixing ingredients, kneading and shaping dough, and preparing batters and fillings according to established recipes.
· Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies.
· Bake mixed dough and batters.
· Frosting, decorating, and otherwise finishing baked goods to make them display-ready.
· Train junior staff
· Inspect baked products to ensure they meet quality standards and are fresh.
· Operate machinery.
· Operating ovens, monitoring the baking process, and adjusting oven temperatures or item positioning as needed.
· Maintaining records of inventory, production levels, and deliveries.
· Prepare and clean work areas, ensuring equipment is properly stored, and maintaining adequate supplies.
· Rotating products and utilizing leftovers to minimize spoilage and waste.
· Any other duties as assigned.
