Overview

Languages:  English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a bakery environment.

Credentials: Food Safety Certificate

On site:  Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work setting: Bakery/Restaurant

Responsibilities

Tasks

·        Evaluate daily operations.

·        Determine staffing requirements and assist in hiring and onboarding process of the staff.

·        Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages while ensuring a positive customer experience.

·        Supervise and train junior staff.

·        Conduct performance reviews.

·        Clean kitchen and work areas.

·        Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.

·        Order ingredients, supplies and maintain inventory.

·        Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

·        Enforce policies and procedures.

·        Maintaining bakery equipment and coordinating repairs.

·        Controlling costs and maximizing profitability.

·        When necessary, perform same duties of the workers supervised such as;

  • Bake mixed dough and batters.
  • Assist in preparation of dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Preparation of ingredients; chopping vegetables, preparing sauce, shredding cheese.
  • Experienced stretching dough manually and transferring finished product to the oven.
  • Preparing and cooking pizza and panzerotti.
  • Maintaining a consistent flame for the woodburning oven.

·        Any other duties as per business requirements.
