Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Baking Foreman/Woman – Food and Beverage Processing to join our team at Sweets from the Earth, located at 101 Canarctic Drive, North York, ON M3J 2N7, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of baking and production staff engaged in preparing, mixing, baking, packaging, and inspecting bakery products.
- Ensure that production schedules, quality standards, and food safety regulations are met on a daily basis.
- Monitor baking processes and product quality throughout production to maintain consistency, taste, texture, and presentation according to company and regulatory standards (CFIA, HACCP, GMP).
- Conduct routine inspections of ingredients, equipment, and finished goods to verify adherence to quality control procedures.
- Train, guide, and support team members on proper baking methods, equipment operation, sanitation, and safety practices.
- Identify process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions in coordination with the Quality Assurance team.
- Prepare and maintain production and inspection records, including batch logs, temperature charts, and quality reports.
- Assist in developing and improving standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production and quality control.
- Coordinate with maintenance and inventory teams to ensure equipment reliability and sufficient ingredient supply.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, food safety, and teamwork across all production areas.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Biology
Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing or bakery environment, including exposure to quality control and team supervision.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $36.00 – $38.00 per hour (30 hours per week)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and Permanent
Benefits: 4% Vacation Pay
