*Position Overview:*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Accounting Personnel to join our Accounts Department. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in accounting within a medium-sized insurance brokerage environment and be proficient in EPIC (Applied Systems) insurance brokerage management software, particularly in insurance accounting functions.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks
* Manage accounts payable and receivable
* Reconcile bank statements and insurer accounts
* Process broker statements and company payables
* Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures
* Work closely with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies
*Qualifications & Experience:*
* Minimum 3?4 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
* Prior experience in an insurance brokerage environment is strongly preferred
* Strong working knowledge of EPIC (Applied Systems) BMS, particularly insurance accounting modules
* Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
