*Job Summary*
We are seeking a carpenter helper to work on our construction site. We are a respected developer of multi-unit residential properties in Halifax/Dartmouth and have current and future projects that will provide long term employment for the right candidate..
*APPLICANTS MUST BE RESIDING IN THE AREA CURRENTLY AND ELIGIBLE TO WORK.*
*Carpenter Helper Responsibilities:*
* Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
* Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades.
* Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
* Level earth to fine grade specifications.
* Clean and pile salvaged materials.
* Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
* Perform routine maintenance work.
* Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
* Adhere to all safety protocols while on the job, including wearing proper safety clothing and gear.
*Carpenter Helper Requirements:*
* Sound knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
* Physical strength and stamina.
* The ability to safely use hand and power tools.
*Work Conditions*
* Job is physically demanding ? you may have to work with power tools, lift heavy materials and kneel or crouch for long periods of time
