Job Description
We are looking for a well experienced Chef for a well-known restaurant “Tipsy Tails Restaurant” located at 8607 Main St, Alma, NB E4H 1N6, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides leadership and guidance to junior kitchen staff, including but not limited to line cooking, food preparation, mise en place, and artistic plating techniques.
- Implements and monitors a strict first‑in, first‑out (FIFO) rotation system, ensuring all food products are properly labelled, dated, and stored to maintain freshness and comply with food safety regulations.
- Maintains well‑stocked cooking stations, especially in preparation for and during peak service hours, to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Recruits, hires, and trains new kitchen staff to meet established restaurant standards, culinary techniques, and operational procedures.
- Manages food and supply procurement, keeping detailed inventory records, minimizing waste, and implementing systems to improve cost control and waste reduction.
- Oversees all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring dishes consistently meet quality standards and reflect the restaurant’s culinary vision.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations by regularly inspecting and maintaining all food storage units.
- Consults with customers regarding catering needs and special function menus, providing expert recommendations to suit event requirements.
- Develops and maintains a standardized recipe manual for all menu items to ensure consistency in flavor, quality, and presentation.
Prerequisites:
Education: Some high school or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $20 to $ 23 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
