Companion/Domestic Helper (NOC 44101)
You will be providing domestic help and companionship to a senior (elderly female) in a private household.

Job Location where the care is provided: Toronto, ON, M2M2C4
Salary: $20 / hour
1 vacancy
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time; minimum of 30 hours / week
Start date: As soon as possible
Benefits: free beverages, snacks and all meals while at work, free room and board if required (not mandatory) including utility and Internet.
Employment conditions: Must be flexible to work morning, Day, Evening, Weekends, some holidays.
Job requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school diploma OR equivalent experience.
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience OR related training in providing companionship to elders and home management.
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Valid Driver’s License is an asset.
Target audience: Person with Alzheimer’s disease. Elderly female.
Security and Safety: Criminal record check. Vulnerable sector check.
Work Location Information: Work must be completed at the physical location, at client’s home. There is no option to work remotely.
Work Setting: Optional accommodation available on a live-in basis. Note: this is NOT a condition of employment.
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

Job Duties:
Provide personal care to the senior.
Provide companionship to the senior.
Accompany the senior on walks or shopping or to appointments.
Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of house owner).
Shop for food and household supplies, when necessary.
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
Launder clothing and household linens.
Any other duties as required.
