Job Description
We are looking for two Cooks for Boston Pizza, located at 135 Church Street Antigonish, NS B2G 2E3.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including hand-pressed pizzas, pasta dishes, wings, appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, salads and main-course items, in accordance with Boston Pizza recipes and established preparation standards.
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, meats, vegetables, cheeses and other ingredients; portion and assemble ingredients accurately to maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation.
- Cook pizzas and other menu items using commercial ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment, ensuring proper cooking temperatures, timing and portion specifications.
- Prepare specialty menu items such as Chicken Parmesan, Fish & Chips, ribs, wings, Pizzaghetti and other Boston Pizza mains, following standardized recipes and plating requirements.
- Set up and stock assigned kitchen stations before service, including preparing ingredients, sauces, garnishes and other mise en place required for efficient food production.
- Monitor food quality throughout preparation and service, check ingredients for freshness, and ensure cooked food meets established standards for flavour, temperature, portion size and presentation.
- Maintain proper food-handling, sanitation and workplace safety procedures; clean and sanitize workstations, cooking equipment, utensils and food-preparation areas throughout the shift.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff and servers during busy meal periods to prioritize orders, maintain efficient workflow and ensure food is prepared and served within required service times.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including opening, closing, weekends and holidays.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the food industry
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $ 17 to 22 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
