Job Description

We are looking for a Food Service Supervisor for our clients. You will be reporting to 7141 Sherbrooke St West, Montreal, QC H4B 1R6, Canada

JOB DUTIES:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and oversee the daily operations of the food service area to ensure efficient service flow, exceptional customer satisfaction, and adherence to company and food safety standards.
  • Lead and motivate servers, kitchen staff, and support teams to deliver consistent, high-quality food and beverage service during all meal periods.
  • Monitor food preparation, portioning, and plating to maintain standards for presentation, taste, and portion control.
  • Conduct daily inspections of service areas, kitchen and storage areas to ensure compliance with sanitation, hygiene, and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Train new and existing employees on menu knowledge, service etiquette, safety protocols, and company policies to uphold performance excellence.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and evaluating staff performance, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Prepare and manage employee work schedules based on operational needs, ensuring optimal staffing levels at all times.
  • Estimate and order food ingredients, beverages, and supplies to support smooth operations while minimizing waste and cost overruns.
  • Ensure compliance with all local health regulations, occupational safety guidelines, and internal quality control procedures.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly and professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, wastage, and equipment maintenance to support operational analysis and reporting.
  • Participate in cost-control initiatives, helping to balance food, labor, and operational expenses in line with business goals.

Prerequisites:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

Experience & Skills: 3 years to 5 years of experience preferably in the Hotel or Restaurant Management

Language: English

Hourly Rate: $25.00  per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
