Location – 2000 Silvertip Trail Canmore, AB T1W 3J4

Work location – On site

Salary – 25.00 hourly / 40 hours per week

Terms of employment:

Permanent employment

Full time

Early morning, Evening, Shift, Morning, Night, Day, Weekend

Experience – 2 years to less than 3 years

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work setting – Golf course

Responsibilities/Tasks

Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements

Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning

Manage landscaping projects

Prepare proposals

Estimate costs

Survey and assess designated sites

Prepare contracts and tenders

Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens

Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products

Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions

Assess the health of lawns

Direct crews who maintain the health and appearance of golf courses and their surrounding landscapes

Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease

Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses and other purposes

Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens

Plant and move trees

Tree removal

Experience and specialization:

Computer and technology knowledge – MS Outlook

Landscaping experience

Commercial and/or industrial construction

Park and recreation sites

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

Ability to work independently

Physically demanding

Ability to distinguish between colors
