Job Description
We are looking for a “Quality Control Technician- food processing” for Sweets from the Earth located at 101 Canarctic Drive, North York, ON M3J 2N7, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform day-to-day quality assurance activities, including inspections, internal audits, recommending corrective actions, and preparing reports within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
- Compile, analyze, and evaluate experimental or analytical data to support quality control decisions.
- Assist in developing and implementing sampling and analysis programs to maintain consistent quality standards.
- Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses related to food products and ingredients.
- Maintain accurate records of analytical studies, inspections, and test results.
- Carry out technical functions in support of chemical research, tests, analyses, and environmental monitoring, including air and water quality.
- Assist with the design, setup, and construction of experimental or laboratory equipment.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Identify, document, and manage non-conformances, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Verify product labels to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procedure requirements, including proper sign-offs.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to established quality protocols.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, potential risks, and opportunities for quality enhancement.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and management teams to maintain food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Prerequisites:
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience..
Language English
Hourly Rate: $36.00 to $38.00 per hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
