Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze budgets to improve and maintain restaurant profitability.
  • Develop operating budgets for food, ingredients, beverages, kitchen supplies, and cleaning materials.
  • Evaluate and oversee daily restaurant operations.
  • Review and adjust food preparation methods and menu pricing based on budget and operational requirements.
  • Monitor revenues and labour costs to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Supervise, coach, and monitor staff performance.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate daily restaurant operations.
  • Prepare and manage employee work schedules.
  • Train staff in operational procedures, customer service, food safety, and workplace policies.
  • Balance cash, prepare balance sheets, cash reports, and related financial records.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.
  • Organize, maintain, and control restaurant inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Negotiate purchasing arrangements with suppliers for food and restaurant supplies.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of marketing initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and instruct employees.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.

Credentials

The successful candidate should possess:

  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
