Holiday Inn by the Falls – Restaurant Assistant Manager

The Holiday Inn by the Falls is looking for a Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our restaurant team at Coco’s Terrace Steakhouse & Pizza Bar.

About the Role

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Restaurant Assistant Manager will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of business, supervising team members, greeting customers, maintaining cleanliness, maintaining production levels managing inventory levels, maintaining food safety, and adhering to safety protocols.

The ideal candidate must be a team-oriented individual and work effectively independently. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator that is professional and consistently acts with a high degree of integrity.

Type: Full Time

Schedule: Day Shifts | Afternoon Shifts | Evening Shifts

Hours per Week: 30 Hours

Education: College (preferred)

Your Impact:

  • Oversee and assist daily operations of the restaurant. (Morning, Afternoon, Evening/Night).
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
  • Comply at all times with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel standards.
  • Provide guidance, support, and direction to restaurant staff.
  • Act as liaison between servers, guests and kitchen
  • Assume additional responsibilities in Restaurant Manager’s absence
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonally and administrative skills and excellent attention to detail is required
  • Floor presence during shift, greeting and interaction with guests
  • Prepare shift schedules according to Hotel occupancy and special functions
  • Handle and resolve constructive guest feedback
  • Complete menu knowledge
  • Monitor and control POS system with regards to guest checks and hotel reports
  • Train and develop team members on company policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Set performance expectations and motivate the team to achieve goals.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

About You:

  • 3-5 years of restaurant experience is required.
  • 3-5 years of management experience is preferred.
  • Completion of College or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically able to perform light to medium lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and walking.
  • Maintain positive relationships with employees and management.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a variety of activities simultaneously.
  • Able to stand for several hours at a time, lift 30 lbs, able to bend, and able to kneel.
  • Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
