Job Description
We are looking for well experienced Sous Chef for “The Food Dudes” located at 24 Carlaw Ave #2, Toronto, ON M4M 2R7, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the culinary team in executing events, ensuring dishes consistently meet The Food Dudes’ standards for quality, flavor, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus, special event offerings, and innovative culinary concepts.
- Oversee all food preparation and plating, maintaining precision, consistency, and high standards across high-volume events.
- Manage kitchen operations under time-sensitive conditions, coordinating multiple stations to deliver efficient and timely service.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, enhancing skills in cooking techniques, presentation, workflow efficiency, and safety.
- Monitor inventory, ingredient sourcing, and stock rotation to maintain freshness, control costs, and minimize waste.
- Enforce rigorous food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols, ensuring a compliant and safe kitchen environment.
- Coordinate with front-of-house and event teams to ensure smooth service execution and alignment with client expectations.
- Innovate by creating new dishes, plating techniques, and menu items that elevate the kitchen’s offerings and appeal to diverse clientele.
- Optimize kitchen workflows, streamline prep processes, and implement cost-effective strategies without compromising quality.
- Evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and guidance to maintain high standards and team productivity.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high school) diploma or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years in the food industry.
Language: English
Hourly Rate:$36.00 – $38.00 per hour, based on a 30–44 hour work week.
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
