Education: Completion of a college program related to hospitality/culinary/catering science.
Experience: more than 3 years of experience in commercial food preparation and In-depth understanding of traditional South Indian ingredients and cooking techniques.
Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities
Tasks
· Prepare traditional dishes like dosas, idlis, uttapam, sambar, rasam, vada, pongal, biriyani, and various chutneys, ensuring authentic taste and texture.
· Maintain consistent flavor, quality, and presentation across all dishes.
· Utilize various cooking techniques like steaming, grilling, frying, and baking, depending on the dish.
· Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions and events such as banquets.
· Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
· Develop new recipes and adapt existing ones while maintaining authenticity.
· Ensure ingredients are fresh and sourced appropriately.
· Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items.
· Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory.
· Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
· Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
· Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff.
· Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
· Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
· Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
· Lead and Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
· Maintain clean and safe work environment.
· Any other duties as per business requirements
