Specialist Chef – Event Catering
We are looking for a well-experienced Specialist Chef – Event Catering for a well-known events and catering firm, Paramount Eventspace, located at 222 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 9T2 Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee food preparation for large-scale banquet events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private receptions, ensuring consistent execution across high-volume service.
- Design and standardize event menus featuring multi-course plated meals and buffet offerings, aligned with venue packages, client preferences, and seasonal ingredient availability.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty dishes in a high-capacity production kitchen, ensuring quality, portion control, and timely service for large guest counts.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen teams during banquet operations, managing workflow, delegating tasks, and ensuring adherence to production timelines.
- Develop and refine recipes for banquet-style service, focusing on scalability, consistency, and presentation across repeated event formats.
- Oversee plating and food presentation for large events, ensuring uniformity and high visual standards for plated service and buffet displays.
- Train and instruct cooks and kitchen staff in banquet production techniques, portioning standards, and efficient execution in a fast-paced event environment.
- Manage inventory and requisition food supplies for scheduled events, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and minimal waste in high-volume operations.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality administration/management, general
Experience & Skills: 3 years to 5 years or more
Language: English
Additional Knowledge of cuisines: Italian and Greek
Hourly Rate: $36 per hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
