Job Description
On-site stock clerk – retail position. Operate cash register; process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments; scan items; tabulate total payment for goods or services required; receive payment for goods or services; calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales; suggestive selling; stock shelves and clean counter area; greet customers; accept reservations or take-out orders; wrap or place merchandise in bags; provide customer service; calculate foreign currency exchange; monitor all entrances and exits, request proof of payment when necessary; participate in promotional activities; verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol or tobacco products; stock shelves and display areas; price items using stamp or stickers according to price list; prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters; obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom; keep stock clean and in order; direct customers to location of articles sought; bag, box or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery; clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying); order picking; perform general cleaning duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping floors); assemble, install and set-up merchandise/products; wax and polish floors; unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items; carry customer’s purchases to parking lot and pack orders in customers’ vehicles.

Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience an asset
- English
- Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely
- First Aid Certificate
