<p>Are you passionate about supporting young people and looking to make a meaningful impact&#160;in&#160;a vibrant and collaborative environment?</p><p>Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS) is excited to invite applications for the full-time, permanent position of&#160;Residence Assistant.&#160;This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team that helps create a safe, supportive, and welcoming residential community for our boarding students while contributing to the transformative power of dance.&#160; &#160; About Us:&#160; Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS) is a leading arts and education institution dedicated to excellence in dance training, community programming, and health initiatives.</p><p>NBS has 300+ employees supporting programs ranging from professional ballet training and community engagement to groundbreaking health initiatives.</p><p>NBS fosters a collaborative, creative environment rooted in inclusion and continuous growth.&#160; The Role:&#160; Reporting to the Head of Residence,&#160;the&#160;Residence Administrative Assistant&#160;plays an essential role in supporting the safety, wellbeing, and personal development of boarding students while ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the Residence front desk.</p><p>Working closely with Residence leadership and fellow counsellors, you will create a welcoming and inclusive environment for students, families, staff, and visitors while providing compassionate support and coordinating daily Residence operations.&#160;This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, organized, and enjoys balancing meaningful student support with administrative responsibilities.</p><p>Every day offers opportunities to build relationships, solve problems, and contribute to a positive residential community.&#160; Shift:&#160; Monday&#8211;Friday,&#160;7:30 a.m.</li><li>&#8211;&#160;4:00 p.m.&#160; Why&#160;You’ll&#160;Love This Role:&#160; You make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people every day&#160;&#160; You become part of a collaborative, caring, and supportive Residence team&#160;&#160; You build relationships with students while serving as a welcoming first point of contact for families, staff, and visitors&#160;&#160; Every day combines student support, problem-solving, and administrative coordination in a dynamic environment&#160; What&#160;You’ll&#160;Do:&#160; Support Student Wellbeing: &#160;Foster a compassionate, respectful, and safe environment by providing guidance, emotional support, and&#160;appropriate professional&#160;boundaries.&#160;&#160; Ensure Student Safety:&#160; Supervise students throughout Residence and during activities while promoting their wellbeing and adherence to Residence expectations.&#160;&#160; Support Daily Living :&#160;Chaperone students to classes, meals, appointments, activities, and events as&#160;required.&#160;&#160; Administer Student Care: &#160;Dispense medications&#160;in accordance with&#160;NBS policies and&#160;maintain&#160;accurate&#160;documentation and student records.&#160;&#160; Coordinate Front Desk Operations: &#160;Welcome students, families, staff, and visitors, respond to inquiries, manage incoming calls, emails, deliveries, and general correspondence, and&#160;maintain&#160;a professional reception area.&#160;&#160; Coordinate Student Information:&#160; Maintain&#160;attendance records, communicate student absences and appointments, and liaise with parents, faculty, and other departments to support student needs.&#160;&#160; Support Residence Administration: &#160;Assist&#160;with student account funds, scheduling, appointments, and other administrative responsibilities that support Residence operations.&#160;&#160; Respond to Emergencies:&#160; Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, illnesses, accidents, or&#160;behavioural&#160;concerns while completing required documentation.&#160;&#160; Collaborate with the Residence Team&#160;and other departments:&#160; Work closely
